Promoting the interests and welfare the University ;b. Fostering and continuing the moral, spiritual and intellectual ideals taught and inspired by the University;c. Supporting the University administration in carrying out its educational policies and programs service for the establishment and maintenance the University as a leader among American and Catholic Universities;d. Assisting in securing financial support for the needs the University;e. FOUNDATION CONDUCTS AND PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS CONSISTENT WITH ITS CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, AND SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES, WHICH INCLUDE TRANSFORMING LIVES OF PERSONS IN DISTRESSED SOCIOECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WHO FACE SIGNIFICANT BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT. FOUNDATION ACCOMPLISHES THESE PURPOSES BY HELPING TO DEVELOP EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR SUCH INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITIES, IN PART STRENGTHENING ABILITY OF COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS TO CREATE AND SUSTAIN SUCH OPPORTUNITIES.

THE BENEFICIARY SHALL BE ONE OR MORE BULGARIAN MEDICAL STUDENTS AT THE SOFIA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY, SOFIA, BULGARIA, TO TRAIN PHYSICIANS. THE SCHOLARSHIP BENEFICIARIES SHALL BE ACADEMICALLY GIFTED STUDENTS, IN NEED OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE SOFIA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY. IF THERE IS MORE THAN ONE ELIGIBLE MEDICAL STUDENT, PREFERENCE SHALL BE GIVEN TO ORPHANS. THE SCHOLARSHIP SHALL BE USED APPLIED TOWARDS TUITION, ROOM AND BOARD, AND A STIPEND AT THE SOFIA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY.
